Microalbumin means presence of small amounts of albumin, a protein in your urine. It maybe the first sign of kidney disease. This is a very sensitive indicator of kidney damage. It helps to identify patients suffering from diabetes who are at risk of developing chronic kidney disease. This test measures the amount of albumin in a single urine sample.
