Peripheral blood smear examination is used to evaluate your blood components which are red blood cells (RBCs), white blood cells (WBCs) and platelets. It also identifies different types of WBCs and determines their relative percentages in the blood. This test helps to detect, diagnose, and/or monitor a range of deficiencies, diseases, and disorders involving blood cell production & function.
