Culture is a technique to identify the cause of infection in your body. This test identifies the aerobic organisms that require oxygen for their survival, commonly causing infection in the lungs, airway and bronchial passages. For culturing sputum, it is recommended to collect early morning sample. This test also gives the appropriate antibiotics to be prescribed for effectively controlling that infection.
