Troponin-T

Troponin-T is a protein in your body which is released into the blood when your heart muscle gets damaged. This is seen when you suffer from heart attack. The more damage there is to the heart muscle, the greater is the amount of Troponin-T in the blood. It rises 2-4 hours after the heart attack & remains high upto 14 days. It can also be high in certain cases of non-heart muscle damage.
